Introduction

Organised every 4 years, the World Equestrian Games represent the most important equestrian event in the world.

The World Equestrian Games could equally have been called the World Equestrian Championships as riders and horses from the 8 disciplines recognised by the Fédération Equestre Internationale are awarded the title of World Champion.

The WEG are returning to Europe, the birthplace of equestrian sport, having been organised for the first time on the American continent (Lexington - Kentucky) in 2010.
