The Organising Committee recruits 3000 volunteers

To bring alive the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games Normandy 2014™, the Organising Committee is putting out a call for 3,000 volunteers from all over the world. Without volunteers, there would be no Games and the organizers, competitors and the public know this very well.
Today, the Games need your smile.
Your commitment, skills and passion are an integral part of the EFFORT. Only these qualities will enable the 1,000 competitors and their horses to perform at the best of their abilities in front of the 500,000 visitors expected to attend the 15 competition days in Normandy.

Whether you come from our neighbourhood or the other side of the planet you will share with an entire region, the pride of hosting the greatest equestrian event on earth.

Volunteers are entrusted with numerous missions and each of these assignments is part of making the event a success: Meet and greet, communications, transportation, technology, health, safety and event services, to name just a few.

Each volunteer through his or her commitment, skills and smile is at the heart of the event. The recruitment and training programme is essential to the success of the Games as our volunteers are players in their own right of the organization throughout the event. We count on them to be the smiling face of the Games in Normandy. Volunteers, you are the spirit
of the Games!

CURRENT STATS (24/07/2014) : 5,000 volunteers will be received for an interview during the fall of 2013. The Organising Commitee is currently on track since 3,800 people have already signed up, and another 2,250 volunteers are currently in the process of registering. So if you want to become a volunteer, you should hurry up !

KEY DATES :

September-November 2013: Calling for an interview
October-December 2013: Interview in Caen or on the phone
February-March 2014: The 3,000 volunteers are selected and informed
June-August 2014: 3 training sessions: one specific session per mission, one core session, one on-site session

IMPORTANT : All the information will be available on the volunteers portal (in French) within your personal space, so do not forget to login regularly ! You will receive an email at each stage of the process (interview, assignment, training, etc..), but it is possible that this e-mail becomes a spam, so please remember to check your spam box regularly too !
